Scandinavian Airlines new Business Class cabin well advanced across its Intercontinental network

Scandinavian Airlines new Business Class cabin is now well advanced across its Intercontinental network. Central to the remodeled cabins is the new Scandinavian Flatbed - this being the "angled" lie flat seat that is set some 10 degrees off true flat-bed seats. The seat pitch is 61 inches.

The implementation of the new seats is now completed on all SAS flights to and from Bangkok, Shanghai and Tokyo. However due to late deliveries of certain equipment SAS have been forced to slow down the implementation process. Therefore, SAS cannot guarantee that the new seats will be available on flights to and from Beijing until later on this year. USA routes will be equipped with the new seats during the winter 2006 – 2007.

SAS Net Access and a convenient PC power outlet are provided in the seat.

Inflight entertainment is Video and Audit on-demand style, offering 23 films, 18 audio channels, 10 video games and Four TV channels : CNBC, EuroSport News, BBC World and EuroNews/MSNBC.

The IFE screen is set in the seat back, and comprises a 10.4 inch screen.
